AUCKLAND: Auckland Airport announces today that leading Outdoor media company, APN Outdoor, has won the airport’s advertising media contract across both terminals, including external sites. Auckland Airport will join APN Outdoor’s existing Airport portfolio which includes the recently redeveloped Christchurch Airport, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and Perth Airports
APN Outdoor has worked vigorously to secure this lucrative contract because it saw the fantastic competitive edge it delivers to advertisers who are looking to connect with the affluent and highly attractive airport audience.
The new media partnership between Auckland Airport and APN Outdoor covers all external sites and those within both the international and domestic terminals. Over 14 million passengers travel through Auckland Airport annually and when this figure is combined with the ‘meeters & greeters’, staff, and other visitors to The District at Auckland Airport it equates to over 35 million visits each year.
Auckland Airport services both the local Auckland area and greater New Zealand too. About 90% of Aucklanders visit Auckland Airport at least once in a 12 month period and 73% of all international visitors coming to New Zealand come through Auckland Airport.
Richard Barker, Auckland Airport General Manager of Retail and Commercial, says the tender process saw a number of strong offers received but that APN Outdoor proved to be the best fit with Auckland Airport.

APN Outdoor will begin the Auckland Airport contract November 1st, 2014.
